Dr. Odette Russell, also known as SiDaGoo and Sijo Abdul Mutakabbir’s wife, has a Ph.D in Health Psychology.  She is an Assistant Director of Wellness and Community Affairs for a wellness clinic in Atlanta. 
Sidagoo has received the highest title as a top ranked Black Belt, “Grandmaster”, under the SWAM Martial Arts Academy, during her almost 40 years of training and 27 years of teaching martial arts.  She is a native New Yorker who within the 1980s – 90s competed in semi-contact karate tournaments in both katas and kumite women’s division; 75% of her wins were in 1st place.  She has received multiple accomplishment awards, which include Women of the Year for 2016 & 2017, Grandmaster Contribution & Life Achievements 2016, AMAA Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame 2017, Grandmaster of the Year 2017, Distinguished Lifetime Leadership 2018, and Inspirational Martial Arts Example 2018.  On July 24, 2018 she was inducted to the exclusive World Headmasters Sokeship Council, an international non-profit martial arts organization established to highlight outstanding martial artists.
