CAMP SUIGETSU
JUNE 1-3, 2007
MILFORD, PA, USA
The Concept
We believe what makes Camp Suigetsu special is that we have something for everyone. There are classes and activities for adults, children, martial artists and non-martial artists. During each class session we will provide something for each member of your group or family. Whether you are a martial artist or not, young or old, there will be an organized activity for you. We invite all campers to take advantage of the martial arts classes and activities regardless of experience and skill level.
The Camp
Cedar Lake Camp is located in Milford, Pennsylvania, only 70 miles northwest of New York City and covers 120 beautiful wooded acres. It has a large lake and many paths for taking peaceful walks in the woods. The registration price includes your cabins, meals and all classes/activities. Meals are all-you-can-eat and served in a large dining room. The camp has several indoor workout spaces, as well as plenty of room for outdoor classes. Sunbathe, relax and unwind at the beautiful lakefront! The lakefront at camp will be the center of activity with loads of fun. There is a floating climbing wall (the iceberg), a water slide, and the blob, a large inflatable pillow in the middle of the lake you “blob” onto and land in the water.
Housing
All cabins and rooms have private bathrooms and showers, multiple electrical outlets, overhead lighting and screened windows. Some have porches. We know that location is important, so when you register for camp, you can pick out your cabin or room and we'll write your name right on the camp map. You can choose between the following types of accomodations:
Hotel-Style Room
A hotel-style room consists of your own private upgraded room; about 200 sq ft with twin beds or double beds housing 1 to 4 people with one toilet, sink, shower.
Private Cabin
A private cabin is a large cabin for your family or group that is approximately 1000 sq ft consisting of bunk beds. It can house up to 14 people and has multiple sinks, showers, and toilets. Lakeview cabins are available.
Semi-Private Cabin
A semi-private is a large cabin that you share with one other family or group that is approximately 1000 sq ft consisting of bunk beds. It can house up to 14 people and has multiple sinks, showers, and toilets. Lakeview cabins are available.
Shared Cabin
Multiple families share a large cabin that is approximately 1000 sq ft consisting of bunk beds. It can house up to 20 people and has multiple sinks, showers, and toilets.
Attention Teens!
Camp Suigetsu is for teens! All Teens (age 12-21) will be invited to participate in special teen-only events and activities throughout the weekend, guaranteed to be cool! Teens will be housed in their own supervised cabin, one for girls and one for boys. Teens 12 and older are permitted to attend camp without a parent.
Health and Wellness
We will have several bodyworkers offering healing treatments at camp including massage, acupuncture, and energy work. Sign-up and rates will be posted at Registration. Pamper yourself while the kids are in class!
