Renshi Rachael Beatty - Financial Director

 

 

Rachael Beatty, Sensei holds the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu. She began her study of Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu at a very early age under the direction of her grandfather Professor Wally Jay. Sensei Rachael continued her studies with Professor Dave Fairfield at Alameda High School in 1978 when the jujitsu program was just starting up at Alameda High School. During these later years, Rachael also received instruction at Island Judo/Jujitsu club under Professor Wally Jay and Professor Lee Eichelberger. After graduating from Alameda High School, Sensei Rachael continued her training under Professor Janice Okamoto and earned her Shodan.

Sensei Rachael pursued her Seifukujitsu studies with the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation at their Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute under instruction from Professor Bob Hudson. She earned her certification as Massage Technician Massage Practitioner.

Rachael held the position of Co-Editor, with her husband Matthew, of the Jujitsu America quarterly newsletter, "Tegami" for four years and was elected as the initial Treasurer and served on the Board of Directors of the Alameda HS Jujitsu Alumni, Inc.

Rachael, and her husband Matthew, opened a dojo in Las Vegas, Nevada, as an extension of the Alameda HS Jujitsu Alumni, Inc. Sensei Rachael and Sensei Matthew named their dojo the Las Vegas Ohana Jujitsu Club to place emphasis on the family focused approach to Danzan Ryu.

Rachael is a Life Member of Jujitsu America and a member of the American Jujitsu Institute.
